Certification

We are the only braiding school with our in-house certification program. Each student must pass a series of tests to get certified. Certification not only comes with a diploma but opens many doors such as membership to the Strands of Beauty Network.

When students graduate from any of our classes they are eligible to be a part of the Strands of Beauty Network. This is where we send our students real clients who are looking for service in their area.

How to Become a Strands of Beauty Braider

Whether you need training or are already an experienced braider, we have a pathway to success for you. We are the only online AND in person Braid School offering FREE hair braid training to all who wish to master the skill of braiding.

Ready to embark on an exciting journey to become a professional hair braider? Follow these simple steps to get started:

STEP 1: Complete the application. Get interviewed. During your interview you can decide on the best courses to ensure your success. If it is determined that you do not need additional training for our in-demand services, you can complete the agreement, complete “The SOB Way” training course and skip to Step 4 .

STEP 2: If you need training, purchase the textbook and kit for your specific course. These materials are essential for your training and success. Get access to our overview and complete "The SOB Way" courses to unlock access to other classes and certifications.

STEP 3: ATTEND CLASS. Start participating in class and come prepared. Engage with other students, ask questions, and get ready to PRACTICE. You will master techniques specific to your braiding style in live classes, whether online or in person.

STEP 4: Join our vibrant Discord group and online classroom. This FREE groups allows you to network with fellow braiders, discuss strategies, and get appointments once you’re part of our braider network.

STEP 6: GET Certified as a STRANDS OF BEAUTY BRAIDER. Register for the certification exam. Prove your skills and earn your certification. You get a certificate for EACH service you can provide.

STEP 7: We start SENDING YOU CLIENTS . As a certified braider, you’ll immediately join the Strands of Beauty Network. We’ll send you clients, and you’ll have the opportunity to advertise on our website, social media channels, and even get featured in our magazine.
